  3.  Thank you for selecting FlowDraw Plus to evaluate as your diagramming 
  4.  program. FlowDraw Plus has been designed to help you create presentation 
  5.  quality diagrams quickly and easily.
  6.  
  7.  This text file contains the following sections that may be helpful 
  8.  after you have installed FlowDraw Plus.   
  9.  
  10.      1. Learning to use FlowDraw Plus.   
  11.      2. Configuring FlowDraw Plus to use your printer.

  17.  │ Section 1 - Learning to use FlowDraw Plus │

  20.  FlowDraw Plus has an interactive tutorial as part of the Help features.
  21.  The fastest way to learn FlowDraw Plus is to take the tutorial.

  23.      1. Start FlowDraw Plus by typing FDP at the DOS prompt.  
  24.      2. When the FlowDraw Plus drawing window appears, click on the Help 
  25.         entry on the menu bar. 
  26.      3. On the Help menu, click on the Tutorial entry. 
  27.      4. Follow the instructions in the tutorial.

  30.  │ Section 2 - Configuring FlowDraw Plus to use your printer │

  33.  FlowDraw Plus is configured with the HP LaserJet/DeskJet as the default
  34.  printer. If you have a different printer, follow these instructions to
  35.  select your printer as the default printer.
  36.  
  37.      1. On the Setup menu, select Printer setup, then Printer selection.
  38.      2. Use the cursor keys to move the highlight bar to your printer.    
  39.         If your printer is not listed, refer to your printer user manual  
  40.         for printers it can emulate. 
  41.      3. Press the space bar to select your printer. A checkmark appears 
  42.         to the left of the selected printer.
  43.      4. Click on the oK button.
  44.      5. Click twice to remove the Setup menus.
  45.      6. Click on the eXit entry on the menu bar. If you have changed the 
  46.         program configuration, the program will display a prompt asking 
  47.         if you want to save the configuration.
  48.      7. Click on the 'Yes' button to save the configuration.

  54.  The file FDPLUS.DOC contains the 53 page condensed version of the user 
  55.  manual. If you would like a hardcopy of this manual, you can print the
  56.  file using the batch file PRINTDOC.BAT. Type PRINTDOC.

  59.  │ Section 4 - Differences between the shareware and registered versions │

  62.  All features in the registered version of FlowDraw Plus are in the 
  63.  shareware version. The only difference between them is the shareware 
  64.  version of FlowDraw Plus has been modified to provide the following 
  65.  registration reminders. 
  66.  
  67.      1. The shareware version has a shareware reminder prompt that 
  68.         appears at the beginning of the program. This prompt requires a 
  69.         keypress or mouse click to continue.
  70.      2. The shareware version has a shareware reminder prompt that 
  71.         appears at the end of the program. This prompt provides an 
  72.         opportunity to print a registration form. This prompt requires 
  73.         a keypress or mouse click to continue. 
  74.      3. The file REGISTER.EXE must be in the FlowDraw Plus program 
  75.         directory or the shareware version of FlowDraw Plus will not run.
  76.      4. Thirty days after installing, the shareware version prints an 
  77.         unobtrusive watermark at the bottom of each diagram. The watermark 
  78.         says "FlowDraw Plus - shareware version".

  80.  The shareware user manual has been condensed to 53 pages with no 
  81.  graphics (file FDPLUS.DOC). The registered user manual is a printed 
  82.  spiral bound manual (size 8 x 5.5 in.) with 152 pages.

  88.  If you have been using an earlier diagramming program called FLODRAW,
  89.  you will not be able to read FLODRAW files with FlowDraw Plus. FlowDraw
  90.  Plus stores its files in a different format and with a higher 
  91.  resolution. 
  92.  
  93.  You can convert a FLODRAW diagram to a PCX file and then read it using   
  94.  FlowDraw Plus. Use the FLODRAW utility FLOPCX to convert a FLODRAW file 
  95.  to a PCX file. Note that FLODRAW files converted to PCX files will have 
  96.  a lower resolution than FlowDraw Plus files. Text in a PCX file cannot 
  97.  be edited using the FlowDraw Plus text commands.
